Brushless Motors Flashcards
idk
Brushless Motor Uses?
Power tools, Electric Cars, Remote Control Vehicles, Aircrafts, Vacuums, Respirators, Computer Printers, Wind Turbines, 3d Printers .
How do Brushless Motors Work?
The electrical current passes through coils that are arranged within a fixed magnetic field. The current generates magnetic fields in the coils; this causes the coil assembly to rotate.
Difference between a brushed motor and a brushless motor?
A brushed motor has brushes sending electricity to the commutator causing it to spin. Brushless motors replace the mechanical commutation function with electrical control.
Problems with Brushless Motors?
Overheating
Power loss
Difficulty starting
Failure due to wear and tear
Short circuits
Advantages of Brushless Motors?
Efficient
Low Maintenance
Less noise
Higher torque to weight ratio
Longer lifespan.
