Beaker people
People who made beaker looking pottery.
Bronze Age
The period when people made bronze out of tin and copper, and made tools out of it.
Smith
A person who made metal objects ( jewellery and tools)
Hoard
A large number of items (tools or/and jewellery) found are called hoards.
Lunulae
A gold piece of jewellery worn around the neck.
Fulacht Fia
A dug out pit, lined with stone. Filled with river water. Beside the pit would be a fire. In the fire they would heat stones. When the stones were hot they would put the in the water so the water would boil. They would then put their food wrapped in straw in the boiling water to cook.
Cist grave
A small pit in the ground lined with stone slabs, the dead body was then placed in it in a crouch position.
Wedge tomb
A tomb that was built with two stone slabs up right. The front wider then the back. With a capstone on top.
Stone circle
A circle of up right stones. Used for either the burial of the dead or telling the time.
Bronze
copper + tin = bronze
