What tests should you do if you expect allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis?
A
RAST - radioallergosorbent test to aspergillus.
IgE levels and IgG
CXR - shows bronchiectasis. High resolution CT is better.
Eosinophilia

What’s the treatment for allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis?
A
Steroids
2. Itraconozole
Also management of underlying lung disease eg asthma and or CF.

A
Dextracardia or sinus invertus
Primary ciliary dyskinesia (With bronchiectasis, and infertility)

Haem influzenza (most common)
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Klebiella spp
Streptococcus pneumoniae
