Once a year across the country the census provide counts of people or households for geographical areas broken down by socio-demographic characteristics such as age, gender or employment.

The Index of Multiple Deprivation measures relative deprivation in an area and is suitable for use where deprivation is concentrated in small areas

What did the field work results show?
Clifton had the best quality of life and Lawrence Weston the worst.
What did the environmental survey show?
Clifton scored +3 - +5 whereas Lawrence Weston scored negatively.
Why does Clifton Score well on the environmental survey ?
Clifton has the best education - census data shows 79% pass A* - C - adults can get well paid jobs.
