The population is growing rapidly
The electrification of the train line means that the journey time has gone down to 70 mins
The population is more ethnically diverse
There are more people in Bristol that are under 16 to those of pensionable age

Over 1/3 of Bristol is open space and 90% of the population live within 350 m for a park/ water. There are 8 nature reserves and 300 parks in the city. In 2015, it became their primary principle to make the city as green as possible

What is sustainable energy?
About 200 people died last year due to pollution. With the green attitude, it improves people’s quality of life as well as their health
What is the integrated transport scheme?
In 2012 Bristol was the second most congested city in the uk. A journey as rush hour took 31% longer then at any other time of the day. Now 57% of people walk or cycle, which is more than any other uk city.
What about Bristol’s population?
The population has grown by 9% since 2000 and the amount of waste is down by 18%. The city still produces 0.5 million tonnes of waste a year.
