- Getting lost
- Weather
RISK= STUDENTS + STAFF
What is the likelihood of all these risks?

Use crossings as a group
Walk in pairs
How can the risk of getting lost be prevented?
Stay in a group
Have teacher’s phone numbers
Have check up locations and times to regroup

Finzel’s Reach
What were the data collection methods for quantitative data?
- Counting number of different land uses in different areas
- Work out which areas are most populated/used
What were the data collection methods for qualitative data?
- Environmental Quality Survey: Radial graph-> +5 to -5
Noise, litter, accessibility - Land use mapping
Different uses of land, industrial, office space, recreation etc
Colour-coded map annotations - Photos
- Footfall survey
Located bar graphs
Annotate photos
What is the evaluation of our results?
Reliable-> primary research, compared with other groups
NOT Reliable-> only looked at a small area of Bristol
Went on a day where the popularity of the harbourside was less, ie no markets, business were not open-> less representative of actual usage
TO BE MORE ACCURATE-> go on the weekend, or go on multiple different days at different times of the year-> holidays, weekend= more footfall + tourists, more accurate results
What is the conclusion to the hypothesis?
Bristol has increased opportunities-> restaurants, offices, greenspaces,
Abandoned buildings-> repurposed from old use in ports
Firm conclusion-> evidence of land use mapping, photographs, primary research= reliable
ANOMALIES-> went on day where some businesses weren’t open, school/work day. Popularity= less accurate than in the holidays or weekend, more tourists, higher footfall, different land uses etc
FIRMER CONCLUSION= if we surveyed larger area of business OR went back on different days and times of the year
Use systematic sampling-> more data + areas
