Either pot or column. Column stills are the most common.
Holandas distillation proof:
Up to 70% ABV
Aguardiente distillation proof:
Up to 80% ABV
Destilado distillation proof:
Two strengths: up to 85%, or up to 94.8%
What is an alquitaras?
Pot still used for producing premium holandas.
Brandy de Jerez Solera minimum aging:
Minimum 6 months solera aging in wood.
Brandy de Jerez Solera Rerserva minimum aging:
Minumum 1 year solera aging in wood.
Brandy de Jerez solera Gran Reserva minimum aging:
Minimum 3 years solera aging in wood.
