Midbrain has
Reticular Formation and Reticular Activating System
Forebrain has
Hypothalamus, Thalamus and Cerebrum
Cerebellum is
Controls fine muscle movements, posture, speaking and memory associated with movement.
Medulla is
Controls breathing, blood pressure and coughing if damaged can result in death
Pons is
Controls sleep, dreaming and waking from sleep
Reticular Formation
Controls screening incoming information, includes Reticular Activating Formation
Reticular Activating Formation
Controls when we are awake, tired, asleep. If damaged it can result in coma or sleep -wake cycle
Hypothalamus
Controls body temperature and blood pressure. If damaged problems with sleep-wake cycle and overwhelming urge to eat and uncontrollable anger.
Thalamus
Controls filtering information from all the sense receptor sites, if damaged can result in visual or hearing impairment
Cerebrum
Controls Coordinating mental processes and complex functions including memory and learning.
