Note that S pneumo does not cause rash or acute shock

A
Cefepime + vanc + ampicillin
+Dex (unless cultures rule out strep pneumo)

Focal neuro signs, hyperreflexia
Increased WBCs (lymphs), proteins Normal opening pressure!!

-> acyclovir

Tx for crypto meningitis
A
1) amphotericin and flucytosine for 2 weeks
2) high dose fluc for 8 weeks
3) low dose fluc until sx resolve and CD4>100 for >1 year
