A
  • bowlby suggested continued nurture from a mother figure within first 2.5 years of life is important for healthy psychological development
  • however if a child has extended seperation bw mother within critical period where an element of care is lost, then psychological damage such as intellectual or emotional, is inevitable and irreversible
