Beach pods designed by modern artists built & Boscombe pier rebuilt
How much was the cost of the reef and then the regeneration project as a whole?
£1.4 mil.
£11 mil.
Why didn’t surfers like it that much?
Was too shallow, in wrong position, depends on right conditions, people need to be educated first to appreciate how it works.
Why didn’t locals like it?
£1.4 mil. spent just on a reef and seafront turned into a construction place for a long time as poor weather hindered work until Spring.
What do environmentalists say about the reef?
Good as claim it attracts marine life but may affect littoral cell and transportation of sediment negatively.
What should have been done prior to going ahead with the scheme to see if it was the right decision to make?
CBA, Stakeholder conflict matrix and EQS
