Cru Burgeois Classification

A

Established in 1932-Updated in 2003 when 247 chateaux were classified to 3 categories:
Cru Burgeois Exceptionnel, Cru Burgeois Superieur, Cru Burgeois
This left out of the classification 200 chateaux.This caused controversy so in 2007 the region was reverted to the 1932 classification with 444 chateaux.
In 2018 the classification returned to the three categories with:
14 Cru Burgeois Exceptionnel
56 Cru Burgeois Superieur
179 Cru Burgeois
