Old Testament is a collection of texts that are from different authors and about different subjects. Like when you go flower-picking. Not all the same.

A

3 parts:
1st= Torah and the former prophets. They are in the same order as they are in the Jewish bible - they represent the past.

2nd= Writings. Those books are poems, songs, etc. Hence, they represent the present.

3rd= the third part include some other writings, the book of Isaiah and the book of Daniel. They represent the future.
