What is the Award of Merit?
Conspicuous action in rendering aid during a life saving or life threatening situation under circumstances which pose calculated risk to the members, or performing an endeavor which brings significant credit to the department.
Who may relieve a member from duty?
Any chief officer may relieve a member under his command from duty, when in his judgement, an offense committed is sufficiently serious to warrant immediate action.
What must a member do when relieved from duty?
Surrender all Department property
