Book 2 chapter 2 Flashcards
What happens when the clock rises when the data is low
Q goes low
What happens when the clock rises when the data is high
Q goes high
How can you use a D type flip flop as a latch
DRAW IT
What is not Q
Not Q is the opposite of the Q output
When the button of the latch is pressed
The output Q goes high indefinitely until the reset button is pressed.
What does a divide by two function look like
DRAW IT
What does the divide by two function look like on a graph
DRAW IT
What does a 2 bit binary counter look like
DRAW IT
What does a 2 bit binary counter’s graph look like
DRAW IT
What is the symbol for falling edge triggered ICs
it’s a dot in front of the clock
What are the different parts of a seven segment display
DRAW IT and do a,b,c,d,e,f,g
What is a decade counter
It has one clock input and ten outputs, each output goes high in turn when the clock pulses arrive.
When will output 0 go high and then output 1 go high
It will go high when the circuit is switched on. On the rising edge of the first clock pulse output 0 will go low and one will go high.
What happens to the other outputs
The other outputs follow the same trend.
What does an active high reset mean
It needs a 1 pulse to reset the counter
