Flexion
angle between bones get smaller e.g neck flexion, chin to chest
Extension
Angle between two bones from joint gets bigger e.g Neck, shoulder, elbow, knee
adduction
Movements torwards midline, (coronal plane) e.g bringing arms back to to the sides
abduction
Movement away from the midline (coronal plane)
Protraction
moving the girdle(Shoulder blades towards the anterior) (pulling forward so its further away from each other)
Retraction
movement torwards the rear posterior (pulls shoulder blade back so they are closer to each other
dorsiflexsion
pulling toes up torwards the knee
plantar flexion
ankle movement pointing the toe
Supination
wrist and the hand, turning hand so palm of hand is facing the front elbom 90 degress palm facing ceiling
Pronation
wrist and hand turning hand so the palm of hands is facing back 90 degrees so the hand is facing down
Medial rotation
shoulder and hip joint only
