Bone marrow, Nutrients and Blood cell production.

Round prominent extension
What is the shaft of the bone?
The long middle section or neck of the bone.
What is a tuberosity?
Rounded elevation where muscles and connective tissue attaches.
What is an angle?
Sharp boney structure serving as tissue attachments.
What is a border of a bone?
Straight edge of a bone.
What is a condyle?
Large prominence providing support for overlying articular cartilage. Bares the brunt force of a joint.
What is a Fossa?
Shallow depression in a bone surface. May receive articulation or muscle attachment.
Watch is a notch in a bone?
A U shaped depression providing stability or articulation of a joint.
What is an epicondyle?
A prominence sitting atop of a condyle attaching muscle and connective tissue to bone providing support.
