Landing @ 38kts
(Includes gust)
Approach Category
A319/20/21
A319/20 CAT C
A321 CAT D
Stabilized Approach Policy
- 1000 Feet AGL
- Rate of descent not to exceed 1200 FPM
-
On the correct lateral path
- ILS/LOC +- 1dot/VOR 1/2 dot/GPS .30NM
-
On the correct vertical path
- +- one dot
- Fully configured
- Absent any GPS warnings/cautions
- 500 Feet AGL
- Rate of descent not to exceed 1000 FPM
- -5 to + 15 kts of target speed for approach
At what height must the autopilot be turned off for Non-Precision Approach?
DDA/DA
Non Precision Approach with an MDA requires what?
add 50feet ot the MDA to get a DDA
What is the minimum engine oil quantity required prior to each flight?
NEO 9.0 qrts (1)
CEO 9.5 qrts
An additional 1/2 qrt needs to be added for each hour of anticipated flight.
1) For NEO aircraft, if the engines have shut down for more than 60 minutes, decrease the required quantities from above by 3 qt to account for oil thermal expansion. Not below 10.6
What is the maximum altitude that the Flaps or Slats may be extended?
20,000 feet MSL
Takeoff at reduced thrust is prohibited when?
Slippery/contaminated runways
Windshear
Departure Procedure calls for TOGA
On slippery or contaminated runways. When suspected, reported, or known windshear is present (e.g., predictive windshear alerts, or ATC-issued windshear alerts for the departure runway or departure path); When a Special Departure Procedure specifies full thrust for takeoff.
What is the max altitude to start the APU using battery power only (ELEC Emer Config)
25,000 feet msl
When is an autoland required?
Autoland is required below CAT I minimums.
Furthermore, to minimize the chances of a go around, Frontier’s policy is to set up and brief for an autoland IF the reported RVR/visibility is at or below 1/2 mile or 2400 RVR AND all of the requirements for an autoland can be met (environmental, aircraft approach capability, ground equipment, etc.), the approach will be briefed and flown as a CAT II or CAT III autoland.
When must the autopilot be turned off after an autoland approach?
ROLLOUT/Taxi Speed
Passenger and cargo door wind limitations
Passenger doors are limited to 65kts
Cargo doors are limited to 40kts or 50kts*
* if the wind is on the nose or leeward side of the A/C then the limitation is increased to 50kts, if the winds begin to exceed these limitations the door MUST be closed by 65kts.
MAX taxi speed when making a turn is ____??? when the A/C weight exceeds _____????
MAX taxi speed when making a turn is 20kts when the A/C weight exceeds 167,550lbs (A320/21)
What is the autopilot min engagement height enroute
900 feet AGL
In 319 and NEO aircraft
Speed breaks are prohibited when?
Speed breaks are PROHIBITED below 240kts when the
- GWCG is above 35% or
- in overweight landing conditions
