AIRSPEED UNRELIABLE
IAS DISAGREE
1 Check pitch attitude and thrust for phase of flight
2 If pitch attitude or thrust are not normal for the phase of flight:
Autopilot disengage switch . . . . . . . Push
Autothrottle disconnect switch . . . . .Push
F/D switches (both) . . . . . . . . . . . . . .OFF
Establish normal pitch attitude and thrust setting for the phase of flight.
CABIN ALTITUDE
1 Don the oxygen masks. 2 Establish crew communications. 3 Check the cabin altitude and rate. Verify that the packs are on and the outflow valves are closed. 4 If the cabin altitude is uncontrollable: SUPRNMRY or PAX OXY switch . . . . Push to ON and hold for 1 second Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 14,000 feet, whichever is higher. To descend Move the thrust levers to idle. Extend the speedbrakes If structural integrity is in doubt: Limit airspeed and avoid high maneuvering loads. Descend at Vmo/Mmo.
DUAL ENGINE FAIL/STALL

A/T ARM swithch (affected side )…OFF (777)
Thrust lever (affected engine) . . . . Confirm. . .. Retard until the ENG LIM EXCEED message
blanks 747-8 or indications stay within limits on 777, or the thrust lever is at idle

A
APPROACH TO STALL RECOVERY OR STALL RECOVERY
A
REJECTED TAKE-OFF
Simultaneously:
Call “STOP”
Close Thrust Levers and disengage autothrottles
Verify operation of RTO autobrakes or apply maximum manual wheel brakes
If RTO autobrakes is selected:
Monitor system performance and apply manual wheel brakes if the AUTOBRAKE message is displayed or deceleration is not adequate
Apply the maximum amount of reverse thrust consistent with conditions
If AUTO speedbrake fails:
Raise speedbrake lever
Continue maximum braking until certain the airplane will stop on the runway
GROUND PROXIMITY CAUTION
A
GROUND PROXIMITY WARNING
A
TCAS TA
Look for traffic using traffic display as a guide. Call out any conflicting traffic
If traffic is sighted: Maneuver if needed
TCAS RA, EXCEPT A CLIMB IN LANDING CONFIGURATION
If maneuvering is required:
Disengage the autopilot and autothrottle
Smoothly adjust pitch and thrust to satisfy the RA command
Follow the planned lateral flight path unless visual contact with the conflicting traffic requires other action
Attempt to establish visual contact. Call out any conflicting traffic
TCAS RA, CLIMB IN LANDING CONFIGURATION
Disengage the autopilot and autothrottle
Advance thrust levers forward to ensure maximum thrust is attained (PM-Verify maximum thrust set) and call for FLAPS 20. (PM-Position flap lever to 20 detent)
Smoothly adjust pitch to satisfy the RA command
Follow the planned lateral flight path unless visual contact with the conflicting traffic requires other action
After a positive rate of climb established, call for GEAR UP
( PM- Verify a positive rate of climb on the altimeter and Select landing gear lever to UP)
UPSET RECOVERY, NOSE HIGH
Recognize and confirm the situation.
• Disconnect autopilot and autothrottle
• Apply as much as full nose down elevator
• Apply appropriate nose down stabilizer trim
• Reduce thrust
• Roll (adjust bank angle) to obtain a nose down pitch rate
• Complete the recovery:
when approaching the horizon, roll to wings level
check airspeed and adjust thrust establish pitch attitude
UPSET RECOVERY, NOSE LOW
Recognize and confirm the situation. • Disconnect autopilot and autothrottle • Recover from stall, if required • Roll in the shortest direction to wings level (unload and roll if bank angle is more than 90 degrees)* • Recover to level flight: • apply nose up elevator • apply nose up trim, if required* • adjust thrust and drag as required
PREDICTIVE WINDSHEAR CAUTION
For predictive windshear caution alert: (“MONITOR RADAR DISPLAY” aural)
If a windshear encounter is anticipated, engage the autopilot (if not already engaged).
Maneuver as required to avoid the windshear
PREDICTIVE WINDSHEAR WARNING DURING TAKE-OFF ROLL
“WINDSHEAR AHEAD, WINDSHEAR AHEAD” aural
• Prior to V1: Reject take-off
• After V1: Perform the Windshear Escape Maneuver.
If windshear is encountered prior to V1:
– There may not be sufficient runway remaining to stop if an RTO is initiated at V1.
– At VR, rotate at a normal rate toward a 15 degree pitch attitude.
When airborne:
Perform the Windshear Escape Maneuver.
If windshear is encountered near the normal rotation speed and airspeed stagnates or suddenly decreases:
– There may not be sufficient runway left to accelerate back to normal take-off speed.
– Ensure maximum thrust is set.
– Initiate a normal rotation at least 2000 feet before the end of the runway even if airspeed is low.
– Higher than normal attitudes may be required to lift off in the remaining runway.
PREDICTIVE WINDSHEAR WARNING DURING APPROACH
“GO-AROUND, WINDSHEAR AHEAD” aural
Call “Go-around” and perform a normal go-around.
If windshear is encountered:
Perform the windshear escape maneuver.
