Formed by the Vertebral and contains the spinal cord.
Vertebral Cavity (Spinal) - Dorsal Body Cavity
Formed by Cranial Bones and Contains the Brain
Cranial Cavity - Dorsal Body Cavity
Chest Cavity contains three smaller Cavities;
Thoracic Cavity
Fluid Filled Space around the Heart
Pericardial Cavity
Two spaces, each surrounding a lung
Pleural Cavities
Space between the lungs; it contains the heart, esophagus, trachea and several large blood vessels.
Mediastinum
Extends from the Diaphragm to the groin
Abdominopelvic Cavity
Contains the stomach, spleen, liver, gallbladder, small intestine and most of the large intestine.
Abdominal Cavity
Contains the urinary bladder and internal reproductive organs, some of the large intestine.
