1-3 Flashcards
Two Major Types of Molecules that make up Plasma Membrane
Phospholipids, Proteins
Three Principle Parts of Animal Cell
Plasma Membrane, Cytoplasm, Nucleus
Makes up the majority of the membranes Frame Work
Phospholipids
Extends across Plasma Membranes, Helps move Substances in and out of Cell, Act as Recognition sites of Hormones, Serves as Enzymes to Speed Reactions.
Integral
Are loosely attached to the surfaces of the cell membrane serving as Cytoskeleton anchors or Cell Identity Marks.
Perpheral
Cell membrane mantains an electrochemical gradient.
There is a difference in change inside and or outside the cell membrane ‘+,-‘
Movement of Substance across a cell membrane using cellular energy, ATP.
Active Transport
The movement of Substances across a cell membrane using no cellular energy.
Passive Transport
