What is a “body” in a social geographical context?
It is our means of connecting with the space around us
What is the cartesian mind versus body binary?
Our body and our mind can be opposites from each other. For example, our body is passive while our mind is active.

Gender does not determine what we do, what we do determines our gender. This means that gender comes FROM behaviour and gender doesn’t determine our behaviour
What is “performativiy” in the context of gender?
Gender is a state of DOING and not a state of BEING
Explain what “sexed” bodies means
Sexed bodies refers to how bodies are used to express our sexuality
What issues have arisen with breastfeeding in urban, public spaces?
The body has been sexualized to the point where breastfeeding is seen as “wrong” or “out-of-place” despite it being a natural function. This is because of the over-sexualization of breasts.
