What can the board do for punishment?
Letter of reprimand, Suspend, Revoke, Restrict or Refuse to grant or renew a license or pharmacy permit
What discipline can the board NOT do?
Fines
What is a letter of reprimand?
A slap on the wrist, or a “this is going on your permanent record” bullshit from the board
What is an Active Suspension?
The pharmacist cannot practice during a specified amount of time
What is a Stayed Suspension?
Similar to a probation; basically you are allowed to practice as a pharmacist but do not violate any laws. Anymore violations can lead to further discipline.
What is a Summary Suspension?
Immediate Suspension (usually done when the Board thinks the public is at risk for harm)
Can you petition a suspension, restriction or revoked license?
Yes - after a certain time. The Board can also block a petition for a certain time period as well.
