Q

how does a hess/ lees look for a blowout fracture

A

Depending on where along the floor of the orbit the px has had the fracture, the further forward the fracture is the px will have limited elevation.

Q

anatomy of orbit

A

Orbital floor, medial wall an Zygoma prone to fracture in a traumatic event

Lateral wall is stronger and doesn’t seem to fracture easily

Q

what is the infraorbital groove

A

Transverses floor from lateral to medial

Location of infraorbital nerve which supplies sensation to cheek and ipsilateral upper alveolus and teeth - px with blow out fracture will lose sensation to these
