What are arterioles
A
Arteries split into small vessels called arteriolar once they reach the organs
They control blood flow by contraction and relaxing

A
They transport oxygenated blood away from the heart to the organs abs the rest of the body at high pressures
They also have thick walls
And small lumens

Veins ?
A
Transport deoxygenated blood to the heart at low pressure due to their larger lumen and thin walls

What is atherosclerosis
A
When the arteries lumen shrinks due to build up of fibrous plaque which can induce blood clots which restrict blood flow and oxygen flow which can cause a heart attack
