What is the difference between serum and plasma?
Serum is plasma with clotting factors removed
How do you tell a febrile non-haemolytic transfusion reaction from something more sinister?
They’re haemodynamically stable
What is the clinical presentation of acute haemolytic transfusion reaction?
Haemodynamic instability
Fever
SOB
Chest pain
What is cryoprecipitate?
Clotting factors derived from FFP
