Plasma- Found in vasculature- Anticoagulant blood tubes- blood does not clot- purple top (EDTA), green top (Heparin), blue top (Citrate)

Serum- lacks coagulation proteins (fibrinogen) Blood clot is allowed- red top (no additive), marble top (gel separator)
