What happens when a drinker’s B.A.C level hits .60
100% fatality rate from alcohol poisoning
What happens when a drinker’s B.A.C level hits - .50
50% of people will die from alcohol poisoning at this level
What happens when a drinker’s B.A.C level hits - .30
Death is possible but people often experience loss of consciousness at this level.
A BAC level of .30 is equivalent to surgical anesthesia, so to determine if a drinker is asleep or has lost consciousness, try to wake them up. Shake them hard, do something. If the drinker wakes up only to pass back out within a few minutes

People often use the terms Blacking out / Passing out interchangeably when it comes to drinking but they are not the same. Explain why
A blackout is not the same as “passing out,” which means either falling asleep or losing consciousness from drinking too much.
During a blackout, a person is still awake but their brain is not creating new memories.
