Aspirin
Name: Metered Does inhaler, albuterol
Action: stimulates nervous system causing bronchodilation
Indication: Asthma, difficulty breathing
Contraindications:Hyper sensitivity, chest pain of cardiac origin
Dose:1-2 Inhalations 5 mins before repeating
Interactions: Increase effects on other nervous system stimulants
Route: Inhalation
Adverse effects: Hypertension, anxiety, restlessness

Action: Stimulates nervous system
Indication: anaphylactic reaction
Contraindications: chest pain, Hypertension, Hypothermia

Interaction: increase affect of other nervous system stimulants
Dose: 0.3 adults, 0.15 children
Adverse effects: hypertension, anxiety, tachycardia, restlessness
Epinephrine

Action: reverses realitor depression secondary to opioid overdose
Indication: opioid poisoning
Contraindication: hypersensitivity
Route:IM, IN
Interaction: additional doses may be required for severe overdose

Adverse effects: Nausea, Vomiting
Naloxone
Name:nitrostat nitromist
Action: Dilates blood vessels
Indication: chest pain
Contraindications: hypotension, use of viagra or another treatment for ED in last 24 hours
Route: SL tablet, spray
Interaction: Increases dilation effects of other blood vessel dilating medications
Dose: 0.4
Adverse effects: Headache, burning under tongue, hypertension, nausea
Nitroglycerin
Name: glutose
Action: when absorbed, provides glucose for cell use
Indication: low blood glucose (hypoglycemia)
Contraindications: decreased level of consciousness, nausea, vomiting
Route: PO
Interaction: None
Dose: 1/2 to 1tube
Adverse effect: nausea vomiting
Oral Glucose
Name: Tylenol
Action: Analgesic and fever reducer
Indication: relief of oils pain or fever, headache, muscle aches
Contraindications: Hypersensitive
Routes: PO
Interactions: Take caution to avoid potential overdose
Dose: 500 to 1000 mg every 4 hrs
Adverse effects: allergic reactions
Acetaminophen
Name: Benadryl
Action: antihistamine
Indication: mild allergic reactions
Contraindications: asthma, glaucoma, pregnancy, hypertension, infants
Route: PO
Interaction: do not take with alcohol
Dose:25 to 50 mg
Adverse effects: Sleepiness dry mouth and throat
Diphenhydramine
Name: advil, motrin, nuprin
Action: NSAID that reduces inflammation and fever analgesic
Indication: mild pain or fever, headache, muscle aches
Contraindications: hypersensitivity
Routes: PO
Interactions: do not take with aspirin
Dose: 200-400 mg every 4-6 hrs
Adverse effects: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, bleeding, allergic reaction
