  • Hypomanic phase: elevated mood and energy, no hallucinations or delusions

A

If manic

  • Liaise with consultant
  • Antipsychotic
  • Then add lithium
  • SSRIs may aggravate mania
  • Can also use valproate
  • Lamotrigine for depression
  • Carbemazepine for rapid cycling
