- accelerated speech
- agitation
- racing thoughts or flight of ideas
- increased activity
- reduced sleep
May also include
- grandiose ideas, sometimes paranoid
- reckless behaviour, overspending
- hasty decisions
- impaired judgement
- increased sexual drive and activity
- poor insight
- variable psychotic symptoms: paranoia, delusions, auditory hallucnations
