Q

newton’s 1st law

A
  • inertia
  • a body will remain stationary or move at a constant velocity unless acted upon by a resultant force
  • if an object is at rest, it stays at rest
  • if it is moving in one direction it will keep moving in that direction until another force is applied to change it

Q

gymnastic example of newtons 1st law

A
  • when running towards a vault (internal force from the muscles) you are moving at a constant pace in the same direction
  • until the force applied changes when you hit the vault
  • it causes your body and motion to change position.
