It is lost as Movement, Respiration, growth, reproduction, excretion, nutrition.
Why are there always less predators in a food chain than prey?
Because the energy is lost through the food chain from one organism to another.
Plants need light to grow, apart from this what other resources do they need?

So there are less animals around which might attack it.
Why do some animals such as Bears hibernate in winter?
So it doesnt have to eat when there is little food in winter.

Give an example of a feature which is not inherited, it is an environmental feature.
