Biology Vocab Flashcards
The idea that the environment is fragile and should be protected and used as little as possible.
Environmentalism
A physical representation of a system of ideas, events or processes.
Scientific model
The physical stuff that makes up the universe.

The attraction between like particles within polar substances.
Cohesion
The attraction of particles in one substance for particles in a different substance.
Adhesion
An atom that has an electrical charge.
Ion
Atoms with the same number of protons, but different numbers of neutrons.
Isotope
A substance that speeds up a chemical reaction but is not used up in the process.
Catalyst
The site of protein synthesis.
