What is a gene ?
A short section of DNA

Each gene codes for a specific protein by specifying the order in which amino acids must be joined together.
Where are the chromosomes?
The cells nucleus contain chromosomes made from long DNA molecules.
They can be found in pairs in body cells.

Long molecule into a double helix shape

What is the phenotype of an individual?
How the genotype shows itself. How it appears
What is the dominant allele
The dominant allele will show itself even if there only one dominant allele present
