the minimum distance between two objects before they appear as one

A
how many times larger an image appears

how does a light microscope work?
A
- Light source shines up the sample, which gives starting image
- Light shines up through lenses, lenses will magnify the image
- Eyepiece at the top will allow us to see an image of the sample

how does a TRANSMITION electron microscope work?
A
- Source at top of microscope produces electrons
- Sample goes towards the bottom
- At the very bottom there is a screen
