Biology Flashcards
What is the difference between food chains and food webs
Food chains shows who eats who in a ecosystem and food webs show several interwined food chains.
what is a food chain?
Food chains is a diagram showing who eats who in a ecosystem.
What is a food web?
Food webs are several interwined food chains showing the extended relationship between different organisms.
What is a producer?
Producers are plants and plants like organisms found at the start of the food chains and make their own food.
What is a prey?
What is eaten.
What is a predator?
What eats the prey.
What is a consumer?

What are carnivores?
Animals that only eat meat.
What are herbivores?
Animals that only eat plants.
What are decomposers?
Organisms that feed on dead things.

Eats the producers
What is a Secondary consumer?
Eats the Primary

Eats the Secondary.
