A scientist that studies fossils.
Herbivore
An animal that eats plants
Carnivore
An animal that eats meat.
Omnivore
An animal that eats both plants and meat.
Organisms
Any living thing.
Mold
A hollow fossil form clearly showing the outside features of the organism.
Cast
Formed or shaped within the mold.
Imprint (Impression
A fossil created by a print or impression.
Amber
Hardened tree sap, often a source or inset fossils.
Trace fossils
Studying trace fossils, we can learn about how animals lived.
True form fossil
An actual preserved body of an animal.
Environmental Condition
A change or disturbance of the environment most often caused by human influences and natural ecological process.
The process of carrying away rocks.
Erosion (Takes it)
Weathering (breaks it)
breaks rock apart.
An invisible force that pulls objects towards each other.
