Biodiversity Flashcards
Why is the vegetation and animals in different biomes so different
The climate which affects everything the soil which affects the plants which effects the animals
Why does the rainforest have such good biodiversity
The temperature stays the same,There are lots of decomposers for minerals,There are many trees present,There is plentiful amounts of rainfall and there are no seasons
How does the climate effect the soil
Rock weathers fastest into soil in a hot and damp climate
How does the soil effect the plants
The plants develop or adapt to suit the climate and soil and grow fastest and thickest in a hot damp sunny climate
Why are the animals effected by plants
They have adapted to feed on the plants or each other and to cope with the climate
What is the soil in the rainforest like
Red in colour and rich in iron and minerals
