Changing the wavelength is the easiest way to improve resolution and this can be done by adding stains to the slides.
What is the field of view?
The field of view is the circle of light that you see through the ocular.
What is the formula for finding a second field of view?
FoV 1 x Magnification 1 = Field of View 2 x Magnification 2
or
FoV2 = FoV1 x Magnification 1 / Magnification 2
What is the working distance?
The distance from the end of the objective lens to the slide when it’s focused.
What is the depth of field?
The thickness of the specimen that is in focus.
What is parfocal?
When your image is in focus in one magnification, when you increase it , it will almost be in focus
What is parcentral?
Centering the field of view at a low focus and then swapping to a higher one and the object is still centred.
