What does MRSA stand for and what is it?
Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. This is bacteria that is resistant to common antibiotics
What is Artificial Selection?
The process of humans breeding together plants or animals with specific traits and characteristics in order to create a breed with those traits.
What is Natural Selection?
The process of groups of organisms changing over time and adapting to their environment
What is Adaptation?
The process by which organisms adjust to a change in their environment.
What is Variation?
Genetic difference within a species caused by random mutations.
What is Genotypic Variation?
Differences between the genetics in an organism that is not always visible
What is Phenotypic Variation?
Visible differences and characteristics of an organism caused by a reaction to the environment
What is Continuous Variation?
Variation that can be categorized in a variety of intermediate types as long as it is in-between set extremes
What is Discontinuous Variation?
Variation that is categorized by having few or no intermediate types.
