A

The expansion of a Polynomial with only two terms which looks like this:

How do you find combined expansion?

A

Find all the terms up to the power that you want for both expansions and multiply them together.

How do you approximate numbers?

A

If you need to approximate a number it will be to the same power as the binomial. You put them as equal to each other and solve for x. Then you substitute x into the expansion and the result is the approximation.
