What does the first amendment stand for?
Freedom of religion, speech and press. The right of assembly.
What does the second amendment stand for?
Right to bear arms.
What does the third amendment stand for?
Housing of soldiers.
What does the fourth amendment stand for?
Search and arrest warrants (must be obtained)
What does the fifth amendment stand for?
Rights in criminal cases (Must be found guilty in front of a court/jury).
What does the sixth amendment stand for?
Right to a fair trial.
What does the seventh amendment stand for?
Right of trial by jury.
What does the eighth amendment stand for?
Excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments must not be imposed.
What does the ninth amendment stand for?
Acknowledgement of other rights existing that aren’t listed in the constitution.
What does the 10th amendment stand for?
The rights given to the US by the constitution are reserved for the states and the people.
