Quartering of soldiers is okay but only with the consent of the owner.

A document issued by a sheriff or judge that gives the holder permission to search the area described in the document
Arrest Warrant
A document similar to a search warrant but for arresting someone instead

1) Right to a speedy and public trial
2) Told of charges placed against him/her
3) Allowed to have a lawyer if he/she can not afford one

Forbids excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment

States that people have rights that are not listed in the Constitution

Why did Americans insist on adding a Bill of Rights?
They wanted to be certain their rights would be protected
Why did the framers of the constitution make it difficult to amend the Constitution?
The Constitution is the highest law in the land and it effects everyone.
