Q

What is the process of conjugation?

A

From cholesterol you get cholic acid or chenodeoxycholic acid. These are primary and can be conjugated with glycine or taurine.

They can leave unconjugated and by made into secondary by bacteria - deoxycholic acid or lithocolic. These can then also be conjugated.
