What gives blood it’s red color?
A chemical in the blood called haemoglobin which carries the oxygen from your lungs all around your body.
When there is a lot of oxygen in your blood what happens to the color?
Your haemoglobin makes your blood a nice bright red color.
What happens to your blood when you run or play?
Body uses up more oxygen and your blood becomes darker red.
Which animals have blue blood?
Octopuses, squid, lobster, cuttlefish and horseshoe crabs.
Why are your veins blue?
Because your veins are close to the surface of your skin,
The skin only lets certain colors of light through it
So blood appears blue from the outside.
Where does wind come from?
When warm air rises, cooler air moves in to take its place. This is wind!
