A

What is a Bid?

A

A commitment to take at least the number (plus six) of tricks named in the specific strain. It consists of two parts, a level and a strain. The level named is in addition to the first six tricks, called the book, which is assumed as a part of every bid. Levels 1 to 7 are possible ( 7 to 13 tricks)

A

You must bid to a game contract ( 4H, 4S, 3NT, 5C, or 5D) and make the contract. You do not score the game bonus if you do not bid to a game contract.

A
