How does JESUS’ statements prove the O.T. is historically reliable?
Matt. 19:3-6 quoting from Genesis 1:27 - When Jesus quotes from the OT, He quotes it as a historical writing. Jesus uses the OT as a historical basis.
Matt. 24:37-39 referencing from Genesis 6-9 - Jesus takes the account of Noah as if it’s a real event, something the people He’s talking to also acknowledge as real history.
How does LUKE’S correspondence prove the bible is historically reliable?
Luke 1:1-4
- Luke stated that he did research, that what Theophilus received and heard is real. He provides empirical data.
Luke 2:1
- **He quotes political figures*, that are verifiable in external writings: Cesars, Herods. Places.
How does PAUL’S arguments prove the Bible is historically reliable?
Rom. 4:1 - Paul acknowledges and quotes from the Old Testament as historical figures and events.
2 Cor. 3:12-15 - Paul uses Moses as an example, as a real historical figure who experienced things.
How does JOHN’S writing prove the bible is historically reliable?
John 1:19
- John wrote from a perspective of an eyewitness.
John 21:24-25
- John claimed to be an eyewitness, and an eyewitness testimony is a strong testimony.
Prove the bible is a REVEALED WORD OF GOD.
Gal. 1:11-12 - The word is received not from any man but from Jesus Christ.
Eph. 3:3-5 - Paul explains that the mystery is made known or revealed through revelation.
Prove the bible is an INSPIRED WORD OF GOD.
2 Pet. 1:21 - The prophets were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
2 Tim. 3:16 - All scriptures are given by inspiration of God.
Prove the bible is an INERRANT WORD.
2 Tim. 3:16 - Profitable. For “doctrine”, for reproof, for correction.
John 17:17 - This implies that the Word is objectively true. It is the truth.

John 8:31-32 - To be called His disciples, we must obey His Word.

Jude 3 - Once for all, means, it is the end of the revelation.
Revelation 21:4 - Implies that it is final and that He will remove all sufferings.
