Pathology of Bi Syndrome
P: wind, cold and dampness, or heat pathogens invade and lodge in the the muscles, joints, tendons, bones and obstruct the flow of qi and blood in channels and collaterals
Etiology of Bi Syndrome
- pre-existing or temporary deficiency of body’s qi and blood, weak constitution, and deficient wei qi
- exposure to adverse or unreasonable weather (weather is stronger than YOU)
- Prolonged living in damp environment, wading in water, exposure to wind after sweating
- excessive physical activities or exercise, repetitive strin, overuse, poor posture, trauma
General Principles of Tx: SPECIAL TXs for Wind, Cold, Damp and Heat dominant
Wind Bi- nourish blood to eliminate win
Cold Bi- warm and tonify the yang qi
Damp Bi- strengthen SP qi and unblock channels
Heat Bi- Tonify Yin, generate water

- W-C-D Bi
- W-D-H Bi
- Blood Stasis a/o Phlegm Bi
- Qi, Blood, LV/KD Deficiency Bi
