A
  • bhava is a feeling or emotion whereas rasa is the dominant feeling within the audience too so it can be termed as aesthetic enjoyment.

Why is rasa important?

A
  • any dance without rasa will simply just be an exercise of the body with physical movements
  • when the dancer successfully conveys the meaning of the dance and the audience reciprocates, rasa is said to be reached
